	Strong management teams and entrepreneurial spirit. Particular emphasis is placed on the experience, performance record, commitment, and integrity of the management teams. PolyTechnos supports the transition from start-up founder teams to internationally experienced management teams.
	Large breakout potential. Capability to generate significant exit multiples. High market capitalizations, usually in excess of EUR 250 million, shall be achievable through exceptional product and growth potential addressing large markets, scalability of business model, and significant customer relevance.
	Global exit opportunities. Multiple trade sale opportunities on a global basis, especially to U.S. buyers. In addition, companies should have the potential to ultimately go public on internationally relevant stock exchanges.
	Sustainable competitive advantage. Must be able to compete against U.S. and global start-ups. Companies should have a strong intellectual property base such as patents, specific know how, or other entry barriers.
	Leading science and technology. The underlying science and technologies should be leading edge when benchmarked on a global basis. The development cycle should be usually not longer than 18 months for turning the technology into business.
