Robert "Bob" Young joined PolyTechnos in 2001. Bob is a private investor in
several technology companies. He is a co-founder of Mirador Capital
fund-of-funds and Tessera, where he has served on the board of directors since
1991. He was a managing director at Dillon, Read & Co., an investment bank,
where he headed corporate finance for IT companies, and was a managing general
partner of the Dillon Read venture capital funds, which invested over USD 300
million in IT, biotechnology, and energy start-ups. Over an 18-year period prior
to that, he held a number of management and executive positions in sales,
marketing, development, and general management at IBM Corporation. Bob is a
director of a number of technology companies and served on the visiting
committee of the department of computer science and electrical engineering at
MIT. He received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D.
in physical chemistry from MIT. |
